Options to Replace Shelby 5764A Trailer Jack

Updated 12/13/2021 | Published 12/10/2021

Question:

My boat trailer jack broke and I need to purchase a new one. The old jack is a SHELBY model 5764A and is a weld on type. The boat / trailer is a 2000 Four Winns Horizon 180. My trailer has a plate welded to it that this particular jack mounts to with 4 bolts. I know SHELBY is out of business. Do you have a jack 1200-1500LB that will work with my mounting plate? I have several pictures I can send if an e mail address is provided. The dimensions for the bolt pattern is 3” up and down and 5 1/2” wide. thank you

Thank you for that info, and while we have some options for you to replace your Shelby 5764A trailer jack, there isn't one that is going to fit that bolt pattern. So you have a couple of things you can do, which is either have a new plate welded on, or use a bolt-on jack but in a different location on the frame that won't interfere with where the current weld-on plate is now, if possible. If it is not, then you'd have to have the current weld-on plate removed.

So long as your trailer has a 3" x 3", 3" x 4", or 3" x 5" frame you can use the following:

- Fulton Bolt-Thru Swivel Marine Jack - Bolt On - Sidewind - 12" Lift - 1,500 lbs # FXP15L
