Question:
I purchased a equalizer WDhitch from you a couple years ago. It is a 90-00-0600, 600lbs tongue weight. I am buying a new trailer 6000lbs empty 670lbs tongue, 10,000 full. Can I purchase heavier bars that will work with my existing system?

Helpful Expert Reply:
Yes. To upgrade your 600 lb Equal-i-zer weight distribution system to a higher capacity, you will need to replace your spring bars, but also the head. I recommend the Replacement Spring Bars for Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution Systems - Qty 2 - 1,200 lbs TW # EQ90-01-1299 for this application along with the Replacement Head for Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution Systems - 1,200 lbs TW # EQ90-02-1200. It is an easy change out of your spring bars and head and you won't need to buy an entirely new system. You may need to change out your hitch ball depending on your coupler compatibility.
