Does Valterra Water Regulator # A01-1120VP Install Between RV and Water Line

Which end of the hose does this go on and does it matter? Thank you.

It really wouldn't matter as long as the part # A01-1120VP is installed on the water line feeding into the RV. Most would install it right between the RV and hose though.
