RV Bunk Ladder For Over The Cab Mattress Access

Question:
I need a ladder to access the over cab bed for my camper. Our feet are sensitive to narrow steps is our worry. Our mattress fits right to the edge is there a bracket secures the ladder to the overhead bed? I also notice two attached wood pieces one on each side of the cabinets. Are they for a board that helps you to get up to the bed? I love the camper but my wife hates it because it is so hard to get up in and out of bed. I hope that you can give me some suggestions. Thank you

For your over cab bed, we have the Surco RV Bunk Ladder - 1" Wide Hooks - 60" Long # SP501B or the Stromberg Carlson RV Bunk Ladder - Aluminum - 60" Tall # LA-460. These are also available in 66 inches long # SP504B and # LA-466.
I don't know if the wood on your cabinets will allow you more space, you will need to check your owners manual or check with the manufacturer.
