Are There Left and Right Hand Entry Door Locks

Question:

rv trailer entry door latches wirh deadbolt Is there a manufacturer that makes both right and left hand opening door latches... the trailer we just got has a latch thst is upside down....you have to lick the deadbolt by turning the key away from the lock... completely opposite ftom our previous trailer...and our house deadbolt

To answer your question, there are not left and right hand opening door latches. Something like the Global Link RV Entry Door Locking Latch Kit # 295-000019 can be used on doors with either left-hand or right-hand side hinges by turning the latch kit upside down. Most entry doors are hinged on the right side, but it looks like you have the rare door that is hinged on the left side. While this is understandably awkward, there isn't a latch kit that will turn the same way as a door that is hinged on the right hand side.
