Hi there, I was wondering if you guys knew of a hitch mounted spare tire carrier that folds pivots down? I reviewed many other Q and As, I saw you recommended this product option to fit directly in the hitch receiver, but it does not fold: # C31006. I also know if this product, which mounts directly to the bumper and has a folding option: UF15-954730. MY QUESTION: Is there a product you guys carry and or know of that combines the best of both of the above products? Ideally, I am looking for a hitch mounted spare tire carrier that fits directly in the receiver like the top option, but pivots or folds like the second option. Does such a thing exist? And/or can you make any recommendations for modifying the hitch mount option to make it fold or pivot? Any help would be greatly greatly appreciated! My goal is to make use of the hitch for the spare tire, but have it pivot, so the back doors on my 77 Dodge Tradesman Campervan can still open! Thanks

There is only one hitch mounted spare tire carrier I know of that has a folding option. It is the Roadmaster Hitch Mounted Spare Tire Carrier w/ 2" Receiver Opening - 2" Hitches # RM-195225 and is made for RV. This is made to maintain the use of the hitch for mounting accessories or flat towing, but not for towing a trailer. It holds 16 inch to 24-1/2 inch spares with any bolt hole pattern. This will allow rear door access to your Dodge Trademan Camper Van.
I recommend using the etrailer.com Spare Tire Lock # e98892 along with a locking pin like # BD580402 to secure your investment.
