To install a trailer brake controller like the Curt Venturer # C74VV in your 2002 Toyota Tacoma you will need to have a 4-pole harness in place (use plug-in 4-pole kit # 118379 if you do not already have a 4-pole on the Tacoma). You will also need wiring adapter # C51515 and our 7-way installation kit # ETBC7.
These items will allow you to install the controller and have a fully-functional 7-way trailer socket on the Tacoma.
