Recommended A-Frame Jack And A-Frame Coupler For Custom Boat Trailer

Updated 01/30/2017 | Published 01/28/2017

Question:

Im trying to find an RV Trailer A Frame Jack to replace one for my custom boat trailer. My jack has a 1 3/4 outside tube with a mounting flange, like most, having mounting holes 3inch apart. Do you have anything like this?

Expert Reply:

We don't have any A-frame jacks with the outer tube measurement of 1-3/4 inches. All of our standard jacks have a minimum of a 2 inch inner tube and 2-1/4 inch outer tube diameter like you find on the Round A-Frame Trailer Jack - Topwind - 14-3/4" Travel - 2,000 lbs, # TJA-2002-B. These jacks come in a wide variety of capacities and with different foot or wheel options.

My recommendation because you do have the mounting flange measurements is to get the proper jack for your capacity needs and either round out the coupler hole or replace the coupler with a compatible one like the A-Frame Coupler with Black Paint Finish - 2" Ball - 5,000 lbs, # CA5100B.
