Diode Recommendation for Preventing Current Backfeed on 12 Volt Power Circuit

I mad going to connect the coach 12v charge line to my toads. Several people recommend a diode. What diode do I need for the charge line?

For a single diode to prevent current backfeed the part # RM-790 would be a great option.
