Yes, the Curt 1-1/4-inch Class II hitch # C12221 will fit on your 2009 Pontiac Vibe so long as it is the GT version. If your Vibe is other than the GT version then instead you will want Curt's hitch # C12228. Both hitches share the same 250-lb tongue weight (TW) capacity and 2500-lb towing capacity. An installation video for each hitch is linked.

The recommended ball mount to use in either hitch is part # C45521. Use pin and clip kit # F-4 to secure the ball mount in the hitch. For a compatible hitch ball use either 2-inch ball # A-82 or 1-7/8-inch ball # A-80.
