Question:
Trying to install P3 using the 3016 harness. when I plug it into the truck it throws Air Bag and Tire pressure monitor warning lights. Truck is equipped with the factory trailer plug. I notice when looking it up by vehicle the P3 is highlighted for use in a Non Factory Trailer Package. If thats true, is there a fix? Id really like to use the P3 rather than the Primus.

Expert Reply:
For your 2013 GMC Sierra there isn't a port under the dash for the install of a brake controller. There are instead 4 blunt cut wires under the dash. Whatever you are plugging a # 3016 into on your truck is not for the controller.
I attached an install video and help article that covers installing a controller in a GM truck like yours.
