Can Hitch Extender be Used with Kuat NV 2.0 to Clear Spare

Question:

I have a new Roadtrek Agile with a spare tire located off the factory installed 2inch hitch, covering the left rear door. My goal is to install my Kuat NV 2.0 bike rack onto the hitch. Unless I remove the tire, I will need an extender. My preference is to stick with Blue Or. But what length, tongue weight and down, if any? Recently, I saw an Agile equipped with a Kuat Rack and have included some photos below. I could not estimate the length of the extender or the reason for the down. In terms of weight, the Kuat weighs in about 60 lbs. Typically, we carry light road bikes estimated 25lbs each. Thanks!

Extenders can be used with bike racks but you need to keep in mind that doing so cuts the capacity of the trailer hitch in half.

The part # HE06 would fit your 2 inch hitch and provide 7 inches of additional extension. As long as your hitch is rated for the weight of Kuat NV 2.0 # NV22G and bikes this would be a feasible solution.
