Replacing Landing Gear on 2013 Jayco Seismic 3914 Toy Hauler

Published 10/20/2016

Question:

I have had nothing but problems with the existing gear. I had one replaced last year and now the gear has sheared off the drive screw for the second time with the trailer empty. I have Atwood gear from the factory that is the heavy duty? single motor rated at 6000 pounds, I believe. The stops are 15 1/2inch inside and 17 1/2inch outside measurements. I would like to upgrade the gear to a heavier model. I also would like to do away with the electric motors and go to hand crank in case of an electrical failure. I would like to take this up to 10,000# with no welding modifications. I see that these are 8000#. Is there a 10,000# model that fits my needs? If not I have to readjust! People in HELL want ice water but will drink kool aid if that is all thats available!

8,000 lb jacks are going to be the highest rated landing gear sets we offer that will bolt right up to your trailer without modification. For that we have the Bulldog part # BD500162 which would work well.

If what you really want something high capacity that would make easy work of your trailer the Bulldog Set part # BD500153 has a capacity of 45,000 lbs. You would need the extension tube part # BDCS730300 as well. You will need to modify the mounting brackets on your trailer to fit this though.
