Question:
When removing my hitch from my truck, I found a large size brass spring laying on the bed with one end broken off. i just ordered a replacement spring but dont know how to install it. A picture of what it should look like would really be helpful. Thank you

You will need to take the head portion off from the rest of the hitch and turn it upside down. The spring you mentioned goes toward the front of the hitch (the funnel end). The spring goes across the funnel opening. It pulls the jaw closed once the king pin on the trailer is in place.
