Question:

Hi.. I have old fork attaching Thule bike racks which have the WS2 style straps for the wheels. I have the same problem as other customers where the current straps dont go around the 60 and 90mm deep dish aero wheels. Do you think the 853-7006 would be compatible with my bike racks that use the WS2 straps? Thanks.. I dont know the bike rack models I have off hand.

I checked with Thule and they do not have a longer strap that is going to work with your bike rack. there is only the regular replacement which for your rack I believe is # 753-3001.

One option I have recommended before is to use hook and loop straps, # 63135. These straps are 17 inches long. Its not the same as the original ratcheting straps on your rack but they can work. The fork mount at the front of the rack is doing all the work to secure the bike anyway so the hook and loop straps are a good low-cost option.
