Question:

What diameter bar is this rear wheel holder intended for? Part Y75UV

Hey David, the Replacement Rear Wheel Cup # Y75UV wasn't intended for a specific diameter bar or frame width as it has a strap that is totally adjustable to fit all standard bike frame diameters.

Excuse me if I seem ignorant, but the multiple views that I observed of the product (Y75UV) show the rear wheel cup passing through a round bar of unknown diameter. The strap (correct me if I'm wrong) appears to be used to cinch the rear tire to the stationary Cup assembly. I wish to purchase a Yakama "Rack and Roll" Sport Trailer (from you) to haul my two recumbent trikes, but Yakama doesn't offer a rack system for this trailer (or car rooftops). Therefore, I have been trying to improvise by using select replacement parts such as the Y75UV for the rear wheels... By the way, when I posed the same question to a Yakama representative, he informed me that specification information concerning their products is "proprietary!" To me, if I'm going to spend upward of $2,500 on their tailer, and they don't offer a viable solution to "racking" my two trikes—there's something radically wrong. Thanks for your attention. Unfortunately, unless this situation is resolved, I'll have to rethink my purchase of the Yakama R&R sport trailer. Dave

@DavidG Some of why they said that to you is because they don't want you repurposing this replacement part as a trike carrier when it wasn't designed for that. The bars of the Yakima Rack and Roll are 1-1/8 inch diameter whereas the diameter of the hole that you are asking about is definitely larger than that so it wouldn't fit. It's more like 1-1/2 inch. We don't have any great trike carriers at the moment which is frustrating as we used to carry a few options. I am sorry we couldn't be more helpful.
