Can Uprights of Thule Xsporter Ladder Rack be removed when Not in use
Published 09/14/2016 >
Question:
Hi, I have a 2007 Frontier. I wanted to inquire if the Xporter Adjustable Rack system, can the upper aluminum portions be removed and the mounting blocks stay on the vehicle, or do they need to come off as well to remove them? I dont always plan on transporting longer gear.

Yes you could take just the uprights off and leave the 4 bases on the truck for the Thule Xsporter Pro ladder rack # TH500XT. To do that you would have to remove the end caps from the bottoms of the uprights so they can be removed from the bases. I have included a link to a video review of this ladder rack for you.
