Question:
My boat trailer currently has a Shelby winch model #5408 that was factory installed and the two nuts that hold the mounting bolts are welded in place. I want to upgrade to the Dutton Lainson winch model #DL15440 . What are the mounting hole dimensions of the DL15440?

We actually had this come up before and a coworker made a picture showing hole spacing and other measurements for the winch. I have added the picture he made to this answer page and also to the product page for you. And I have also linked a video review of the winch.
