I went out to the warehouse and pulled the Waterproof, Under 80 inch LED Trailer Light Kit, item # TLL9RK, to see exactly what Optronics means by waterproof.
Upon initial inspection the housing itself is not water tight. Water can access the housing through the hole that the wires enter the light through and there is a drain hole at the bottom of the light near the center of the front lens.
I then removed the front and side lenses and found that the led light system is encased (sealed) in plastic making the led light fixture itself waterproof. This includes the stop, turn, tail, side marker and license plate lights. The wires entering are actually sealed into the unit when the plastic is molded around the unit. The front lens is not replaceable, as it is a complete unit. If the side marker lens, or the lens under the light for the license plate light were damaged those could be replaced.
If you follow the link to your question and answer online you will see a picture that I took of the inside of the light. You can then see how the unit is sealed and the wiring is molded into the assembly.
