Height Dimension of Fan-Tastic Vent 12V Reversible Fan RV Roof Vent FV801250

Question:
Thanks for the great video, it helps especially the demo. Which direction is standard, out or in? How much different is the air speed in the reverse direction. I read a review of an earlier version of this product saying that in reverse only a faction of the forward air is moved. I want to mount this product in my cabin cruiser. That will require no interior trim part. I will need to remove the smoked colored cover as well since I will be mounting this inside the forward hatch area and it already has a cover. I will need to make other modifications as well, I wonder if some other product would work better but it needs reverse which does not seem common for marine hatch fans. The other reason I am looking at this product is the low profile of the fan motor itself. should fit between hatch cover and bottom of hatch access area. Could you give me the dimensions from the lower lip to the top of the fan without a cover or trim part? Thanks...

The Fan-Tastic Vent 12V Reversible Fan RV Roof Vent # FV801250 operates in both directions with a 920-CFM (cubic-feet-per-minute) air volume. I went to our warehouse to measure the height of the fan assembly without the lid's height included. I found this to be 2-1/2-inches, measured from the top of the flexible rubber gasket to the bottom surface of the mounting flange, which is what will contact the surface where you install it.
