Can B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Be Used with Plastic Bedliner

Question:
I think I know the answer, but Ill ask to be sure. Does the Companion 5th Wheel hitch work with a plastic bed liner? Do I have to cut holes in it there the hitch sits? Apologies if its a silly question. First 5er here.

I checked with B&W and with the Companion hitch # BWRVK3500-5W you would either need to remove the bedliner or trim it in the footprint of the entire base so it will have direct contact with the bed. The reason for this is because a slide-in bedliner can move around some and you do not want that happening when towing a 5th wheel trailer! I linked a video review of the Companion for you.
