Im looking at purchasing a trailer hitch receiver and bike rack for my 2012 Volvo XC70. Is there a swing 4 Bike Rack for 2inch Hitches that clears the rear bumper when using the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2?

The Curt Trailer Hitch, part # 13266 will work great on your 2013 XC70. This is a Class lll hitch and it has a 2 inch receiver opening. I have attached a link to an installation video for this hitch you can check out. The distance form the center of the hitch pin hole to the rearmost part of the bumper is 5-3/4 inches.

I recommend the Yakima FullSwing 4 Bike Rack, part # Y02465. This bike carrier has a swing-away feature and also has anti-sway cradles that keep the bikes from banging into each other. The distance form the center of the hitch pin hole to the foot of the carrier is 9 inches so that gives you plenty of clearance at the back of your vehicle. This carrier also has the locks that secure the bikes to the carrier and the carrier to the vehicle.

If you are planning on carrying bikes with alternative frames like kids bikes or women's bikes I recommend using an adapter bar like part # 64005. This attaches between the seat post and the handlebar stem and allows the bike to be carried more level in the carrier while providing additional ground clearance. I have attached a product review video for this adapter bar.
