Question:

I have a 2006 24foot CM stock trailer with an 8foot gooseneck hitch see attached. The trailer weighs 6000#. The cargo weight is +/- another 6000#. Will this jack safely lift the trailer and keep it lifted/steady for an extended period of time i.e. 5-7 days?

I spoke with my contact at Ultra-Fab about the Power Twin II Electric Stabilizer, part # UF39-941705.

They recommend not using this system because of the movement any livestock would make in the trailer. They said any movement would cause additional stress on the system and they would not recommend it. This system is not designed to lift, as it is made to stabilize a steady load only.

I recommend installing a tandem landing gear set like part # BD500154. This certainly has the capacity at 45,000-lbs and when installed on your trailer will provide more than enough strength to hold your trailer. This is a manual jack and it has a lift capacity of 17 inches. The cross shaft is not included and has to be purchased separately. That is part # BDCS730300.
