Helpful Expert Reply:

Both of the idler hubs you referenced, AxleTek # AKIHUB-545-2-1K and Titan # T4084600042, feature cast iron construction. They both also share 1/2-inch wheel studs in a 5-on-4-1/2 bolt pattern.

The difference between them is that the Titan hubs can also be used on a 2500-lb axle if it has a 1-inch spindle. The Axle Tek hubs are rated for a 2000-lb axle. Since both hubs use the same bearings (L44643) they will both fit the same spindles. For the few dollars more, the extra capacity of the Titan hubs is a worthwhile investment.
