When flat towing a vehicle there are five items needed. You need base plates for the towed vehicle, a tow bar, safety cables, lighting for the towed vehicle, and a supplemental brake system.

I recommend the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit, part # BX1656. The design of this kit means less of the bracket is visible.

For a tow bar I recommend the Blue Ox Alpha Tow Bar, part # BX7380. This tow bar has safety cables included.

The tow bar wiring kit I recommend is part # RM-15247. Since you have separate wiring on your Canyon you will also need a converter like part # 118158, and 2 additional diodes, part # RM-792.

For a supplemental brake system I recommend part # BLU37TR. This is a wireless proportional system that applies the brakes in your towed vehicle with the same intensity as the brakes in the motorhome when the pedal is pressed.

You will want to tow your Canyon as level as possible so you may need a high-low hitch adapter. I have attached a link to a helpful article that explains how to choose an adapter that will work for you.
