Can Power Wire of the Rectangular LED Trailer Clearance Light be Routed Through Angled Base Hole
Published 05/03/2016 >
Question:
In the base of this light, from behind, there is an angled recess with a hole in it. Can the power wire be rerouted to exit the light through this hole? My trailer has an existing 1inch diameter hole from removal of the old fixture, and it appears that rerouting the power wire to the other hole in the base would allow it to more easily pass through the existing hole in my trailer. Or, is there sufficient room below the base that would allow the wire to run under the base to near the center of the light and reach the existing 1inch hole in my trailer?

If you wanted to route the power wire of the # MCL44AB1 through the angled hole on the back of the base of the light you certainly could, but you are going to have to slightly enlarge the hole as the wire will be just barely too thick.
