Long trips and uneven pavement can beat up a trailer fast. This 3-leaf slipper spring flexes to absorb road shock, helping the trailer track steady and ride smoother. Each spring supports 750 lbs, giving a total axle capacity of 1,500 lbs, so it keeps things level even when the load shifts across bumps and dips.
Stable suspension starts with the right geometry. At 24-1/4"" long and 1-3/4"" wide, this standard-grade spring provides balanced flex and firm support for trailers in the 1,500-lb axle range. The 9/16"" eye and 4"" slipper end dimensions match standard hangers for a solid mount that resists side play and maintains alignment mile after mile.
Metal-on-metal contact wears fast and makes noise. The included nylon bushing at the spring eye keeps the movement smooth, cutting friction and reducing wear on the hanger bolt. That means quieter operation and longer-lasting suspension parts that don’t squeak or grind every time you hit a bump.
Old or sagging springs can throw off alignment and ride height. This slipper spring mounts to the trailer frame using hangers or a hanger kit (sold separately) for a direct, clean fit. Always replace springs in pairs to keep both sides even and ensure proper axle alignment for steady towing.

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this Three Leaf Slipper Spring. Now, this three leaf slipper spring is designed for trailers with 1500 pound trailer axles, making it a good fit for those smaller utility trailers, lightweight cargo trailers, and similar applications. Its job is support your trailer's weight while helping absorb bumps and road shock. That's gonna help create a smoother, more stable towing experience.
Now, let me go ahead and retrieve my tape measure here. I'm gonna be measuring from the center of the eye to the end of the spring. And as I hope you can see, we're sitting pretty close to 24 and a quarter inches long. The width is one and three quarters inches wide. And this is a pretty common size for single axle trailer suspension setups.
The three leaf designs gonna give you the flexibility needed to cushion those impacts from rough roads, while helping keep your trailer riding level. Now, at the front of the spring here, is a nine 16ths of an inch eye with a nylon bushing. That bushing's going to allow the spring to pivot smoothly as the suspension moves. That's gonna help reduce friction and wear compared to metal on metal contact. Each spring is gonna be rated for up to 750 pounds capacity.
So if you pair this one with another spring that's exactly like it, that's where you're gonna get your 1500 pound trailer axle capacity. Using two matching springs are obviously gonna help distribute the load evenly and keep your axle properly aligned. Installation does require spring hangers, which mount to the frame of your trailer. They're sold separately. You can find 'em here at etrailer if you need 'em.
The hangar secure the spring and allow the suspension to function correctly under that load. One important thing to remember is leaf springs should always be replaced in pairs. Even if one spring is worn or damaged, replacing both is going to ensure proper axle alignment and balanced weight support and consistent suspension performance. very well made, trailer feels much smoother on the road.
Perfect replacements! BERY easy to measure for and order.
Spring was fine, had to modify due to being to long. Needed 22 inch, and ordered a 24 in. My mistake.
cheap but seem good quality
Perfect fit! Better load carrying capability (3 leaf replacement for 2 leaf springs). The right part for the job! I rebuilt my King boat trailer for a 16 ft Lund skiff with 30 hp Yamaha outboard. Austin B at etrailer (Thanks Austin) helped me determine fitment. While this was only one part of the rebuild it was a strategic choice. Now I can carry all my extra gear in the boat when it’s on the trailer and springs are not overloaded!

No problems, upgraded PWC trailer because the new PWC is heavier 4 stroke. With springs and larger tires, it allowed us to not need to purchase a new trailer.
