Recommended Idler Hub For Boat Trailer With 3,500-Lb Axle

Question:

I had to replace bearings on my boat trailer on one hub. Inner bearing L68149, outer bearing L44649. I want to buy a whole hub assembly for a spare.My hub had some numbers on it, TDE 46210 or JCA122609-1. How do I determine which hub assembly to get?

We have just what you are looking for. I called my contact at TDE and asked about the hub you have on your boat trailer. They told me that it was a 5-stud idler hub for a 3,500-lb axle.

I have attached a link to our product page for the 3,500-lb hubs we offer. The bolt pattern can be a bit different so you will want to determine which one you need. I have attached a helpful article that explains how to find the correct bolt pattern you need for your wheel. If you have a 5 on 4-1/2 pattern I recommend part # AKIHUB-545-35-K. If you need 5 on 4-3/4, I recommend part # 845475UC1.

If you need a 5 on 5 hub I recommend part # AKIHUB-550-35-K. And if you need a 5 on 5-1/2 hub I recommend part # AKIHUB-555-35-K.

All of the hubs I mentioned come with the bearings, races, seal, grease cap, and lug nuts included.

If you need to make the task of greasing the bearings easier I recommend using a bearing packer like part # L70025. For marine grease I also recommend part # L54FR and a compatible grease gun like the # 30-800. .
