When choosing a weight distribution system the most important thing you want to know is what the gross tongue weight is. Gross Tongue Weight is the tongue weight of your trailer when it is fully-loaded and ready to tow added to the weight of any cargo placed behind the rear axle of your tow vehicle. I have attached links to a couple helpful articles that explains weight distribution and how to determine tongue weight you can check out.
Based on your gross trailer weight of 18,000-lbs I recommend an extra heavy duty system like the Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control, part # BXW2000. This system has a 20,000-lb capacity and can work with a tongue weight between 1,500 to 2,000 lbs. If you find your tongue weight exceeds 2,000-lbs you may be able to shift some of the weight in the trailer toward the rear to get the tongue weight within range for the system.
The hitch ball is sold separately and for that I recommend part # 63840.
