Question:
I have an E2 equklizing hitch and it has a 12inch shank, which has an 8inch measurement from the hitch hole to the adjustment hole. Using this shank I am unable to lower the tailgate on my pickup GMC 2500 HD if it helps. I would like to get a longer shank so that the trailer can sit back further. The tongue weight on the trailer is 620lbs. Any suggestions?

Sounds like you are looking for the Curt Weight Distribution Shank part # C17122. This shank is 14 inches from the hitch pin hole to the vertical adjustment holes that the head of the system will install to. This will also work with your E2 Fastway weight distribution system as well.
I attached a dimension picture for this shank as well.
