I have 2005 ford f-150 I used a tester on the truck side the right turn signal works fine the lights works fine, I cut the connector off under the truck and checked again to see if it was the connector the yellow wire for the left turn signal still would not light up. It sounds like the problem lies somewhere between the fuse panel and the trailer connector at the rear of the truck. You can trace the wires from the back to the front, using a circuit tester to test along the way at various points to determine if there is a damaged wire that needs to be repaired.

The other option is to bypass the tow package wiring and instead connect the trailer connector left turn/brake light wire directly to the 2005 Ford F-150 left turn signal/brake light wire. You will need some extra wire, such as # DW02359-1, sold by the foot, and a quick splice connector, # SWC501746-1, to tap into the vehicle wire.
