Truck came without tow package, has blue brake wire for trailer on drivers side kick panel. Installed part # 3040-P Where does the existing blue wire for electric brakes on trailer come out of the truck? Its not on the rear of the truck because it didnt come with tow package. I traced IT TO RIDERS SIDE KICK PANEL, WHERE DOES IT GO FROM THERE? i HAVE EVERYTHING TAKEN CARE OF i JUST NEED TO KNOW WHERE CAN i FIND THE end of the BLUE WIRE sorry about caps for the electric brakes because it came without a tow package.?

If the # 3040-P harness is powering up the brake controller you are looking to install in your 2012 Toyota Tundra that would mean that you would only need to run the blue wire of the controller (the one you traced) back to a 7-way at the rear of it.
If you need a 7-way you would want the part # 37185. You would need to connect the blue wire of this connector to the blue wire you traced earlier with 10 gauge wire like part # 10-1-1 that is sold by the foot.
Normally for the 2012 Toyota Tundra we have to recommend the install of a brake controller differently.
You will need to start with a 4-way (if you do not have one). For that you would want the # HM11141835.
From there you would need to convert the 4-way to a 7-way so that you can install the brake controller. For that you will want the Brake Controller Install Kit and 7-Way Adapter part # ETBC7. I attached installation instructions and an install video for this product as well.
