Using Revolution/Sidewinder Pin Box with B&W Companion for 2016 Ford F-350 w/Factory Prep Package

Question:

I just purchased and had installed a bandw Companion fifth wheel hitch for my 2016 Ford F350 with the oem fifth wheel hitch install points. I love the hitch however I have a Forest RIver fifth wheel with the Reese Revolution Pin Box and the wedge on the bottom of the pin box wont let the pin go far enough in to latch. Will this hitch work with my pin box. I read a post from Michael H. and he said it would but I dont know how to get it to work.

There are a couple of things to consider. First, there are 2 kinds of Companion hitches; one fits in just a single center attachment point (gooseneck hole) and the other fits in the 4 points, # BWRVK3300. A Revolution pin box can be used with the 4-point mount Companion but not the single-point mount models.

Revolution and Sidewinder pin boxes come with a universal wedge but there are custom wedges for certain hitches as well. For the B&W Companion you would need custom wedge # SWW-06. With the custom wedge installed it will provide a better fit than the universal one.
