I have the Thule ski racks and I have fat mouth claps I would like to install the tamper proof screw but I dont know how. I just ordered the $1.00 replacement screws and the tool. I dont know if its just me but I think they might be the wrong size or I just dont know how to install them.

The tamperproof screw # 853-5269 is compatible with many Thule accessories, including ski carriers. This is an M6 screw and uses the special allen wrench # 853-5270-02 to tighten or loosen.
This screw will be compatible with Thule 724, 725, and 726 ski carriers only so if you have a different model then it would not work. This screw is also included in the mounting kit # 7533998 for the above ski carriers. The bottom parts of the feet have threaded holes for the screws.
