For a 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe you will need the Hidden Hitch Trailer Hitch, # 87419. It is a Class III hitch and has a gross towing weight of 3,500 lbs. and a tongue weight of 350 lbs. It is a bolt on application, no drilling required.
You will want to check the owners manual or the car dealer for the maximum towing capacity of your 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe to make sure that your vehicle will be able to handle the capacities of the hitch you will be installing.
The hardware needed will be the Convert-A-Ball Ball Mount, # AMSC2, Pin and Clip, # PC3, and the hitch ball. The hitch ball size will depend on the coupler size of the trailer you will be towing. You will need either the 2 inch ball, # 19247, or the 1-7/8 inch ball, # 19260.
The wiring harness is the Tow Ready Wiring Harness, # 118473, which plugs in behind the vehicles taillights. There is no cutting or splicing of wires.
I am sending links to the instructions of the hitch and the wiring harness. I also am sending two video links of the hitch and the wiring harness being installed on a 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe.
