Question:
I have a 3-1/4inch hole saw already. Your instructions call for a 3-3/8inch hole. Will the 3-1/4inch hole be close enough to be secure and safe?

Helpful Expert Reply:
You really would need a 3-3/8 inch diameter hole. A 3-1/4 inch hole would leave you about 1/8 of an inch too small. If you have a router, you could use a straight cutting bit to slightly enlarge the hole enough to get the tie down to fit.'
The # BP05 backer plate is also recommended.
