Question:

I have a Roadmaster Falcon 2 tow bar and cross bar. I need to know what else I need to set up my 2012 Jeep Wrangler Sport to tow behind my Winnebago 35U gas coach. I do not have any wiring with the Falcon 2.

Flat towing requires 5 basic components: tow bar, safety cables, a wiring/lighting kit and base plates and a supplementary braking system for the towed vehicle.

Since you have a Roadmaster tow bar I suggest staying with their base plates since this will avoid the hassle and expense of adapters which can be required to mate different brands' parts. You can use the link provided to see all Roadmaster base plates and the Select Vehicle Style drop-down menu at the top of the page will allow you to choose the Wrangler version you have.

For example, if you have a Mopar bumper you can use # 1430-3 or if you have a Warn Elite bumper you can use # 1439-3. For safety cables use part # RM-643. The easiest lighting solution is a magnetic kit like # TLL21RK which plugs in without any cutting or splicing of wires. If you need a wiring extension use # RM-300150-00. If you need to even the height of the RV and Jeep you can use one of the high-low adapters shown on the linked page.

For a braking system I suggest the wireless and portable Blue Ox Patriot part # BLU37TR, because of its reliable proportional braking and simple set-up. All you'll need to add is a 12V outlet kit, part # RM-9332, to power the Patriot.

The linked article maybe of interest to you since it covers each of the items required for safe and legal flat towing.
