When mounting a wireless backup camera, it is best to mount it as far over on the driver's side as possible. Because the wireless signal has to travel through the camper and the truck, mounting it on the driver's side works to provide the signal with a clearer path to the receiver in the cab of the truck.
The strongest place to mount the camera is on the bumper due to the all-metal structure. However, mounting it higher off the ground will provide you with a better vantage point when backing up. Generally, OEM cameras are mounted up to about 9 feet off the ground for the best view when backing up.
The overall best place to mount a wireless backup camera will be the spot you feel offers you the best view when backing up while providing a good signal to the monitor.
