Is There a Way to Determine if Trailer Axle is 5,200 or 6,000 lb Capacity

Question:
trying to determine if my dexter axles are 5200 lb or 6000 lb. no label. 3 inch axle tube, 6 lug, 5 leaf. outer bearing is LM67048. can you identify the axle by this info?

Hey John, unfortunately that's not enough info. The 5,200 and 6,000 lb trailer axles basically use the exact same hubs and are the same diameter so there's nothing you'll be able to see that would show they are different unless you find the axle tag. It will state the capacity on it and there really isn't a way to ID the difference other than that.
