Can All Ball Mounts Be Used in Both the Rise and Drop Positions
Updated 07/15/2015 | Published 07/14/2015 >
Question:
Can ANY hitch mount be reversed to safely use as a rise instead of a hitch? Some specifically state it can be a or rise hitch mount and some just say . But Im assuming you could just flip anyone for my class 3 hitch on my 2009 Toyota highlander hybrid with a full size 10 inch spare. If there is one you recommend for level towing please let me know.. Thank you

Helpful Expert Reply:
Most ball mounts can be used in either the rise or drop position. Typically if only one orientation is recommended it will specifically say, "rise only", or "drop only."
To pick out the correct rise/drop ball mount you will need to take a couple measurements. Check out the help article that I attached that covers this.
