Trailer Hitch Recommendation for 2015 Jeep Renegade Trailhawk

Question:

Will this particular hitch work on a Trailhawk? And does it require drilling and/or professional installation? I am having a very hard time finding a 2inch hitch for my bike racks so I hope you can help.

The Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch, part # 76021 is confirmed as a fit for your 2015 Renegade Trailhawk.

This is a Class lll hitch and it has a 2 inch receiver opening. If you are planning on carrying bikes with alternative frames like kids bikes or women's bikes I recommend using an adapter bar like part # 64005. This attaches between the seat post and the handlebar stem and allows the bike to be carried more level in the carrier while providing additional ground clearance. I have attached a product review video for this adapter bar.

If you decide you are going to do some towing down the road I recommend the etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop. It also includes a 1-7/8 inch ball, 2 inch ball, hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag.
