Curt Trailer Hitch is Very Close to Ground on a 2015 Lexus IS 350 F-Sport

Question:

Hello, I had a Curt C11389 installed on a Lexus IS 350 2015 F-Sport. The hitch is so low that sometime the hitch hit the ground when I exit an entrance. I checked the installation when the car was on lift at my dealer and the hitch seems to be installed as documented in the Curt document. I saw a Lexus IS 350 pre-2014 with a Curt hitch a the hitch was about 1/2 inch lower than the bumper. What do you think about my installation? See pictures.

Your picture seems to show that the Curt trailer hitch # C11389 is installed correctly on your 2015 Lexus IS 350. Based on the design of the vehicle there isn't a way to make the hitch much higher without making some modifications to the vehicle. You will need to make sure that the muffler hanging brackets are attached to the bottoms of the hitch mounting brackets and not sandwiched between the hitch and vehicle frame.
