Question:
I have a new 2014 Ford f-150 5.5 ft bed with factory receiver hitch which says its capacity if 5000 lbs or 10500 with a WD hitch. If I want to replace this factory receiver hitch and upgrade to a class IV receiver hitch, do you have a product that will do that. Ive searched your web site, but it seems that it will only show me a class IV if I have a truck without a factory hitch. can you offer any guidance??? thanks

The reason it is listed for trucks that have no factory hitch is due to the installation locations. If you said you are removing your hitch, you will be able to install a replacement hitch like part # C14002. To be able to install a replacement trailer hitch you would need to find a bumper support form a truck that did not have the OEM hitch and install that on your truck. Without this support bracket an aftermarket hitch will not fit.
I have attached the installation instructions you can check out. If you look at the attach points used for installation of the Curt hitch you will see that the factory hitch is in the way. Once it is removed and the bumper support bracket is replaced you should have no problem installing the # C14002. This is a Class lV hitch and it has a 2 inch receiver opening.
I have attached a link to our product page for the weight distribution systems we offer. I have also attached a link to a helpful article about weight distribution you can check out.
If you have any questions about a specific item just let me know and I will be glad to make some recommendations that will work for you.
