Question:
I currently have a dynomax system on my 2014 Tundra 5.7L and get a horrible drone at 1600rpm, will a resonated tip help the interior drone? What will it do to the overall sound of the dynomax system? Thanks,

Expert Reply:
A resonator tip like the part # PM-5104 that you referenced is designed to actually increase sound so it wouldn't be what I would recommend for the drone you are experiencing.
If you are looking to reduce drone your only option would be to go with a chambered muffler to replace the bullet muffler you currently have.
The easiest solution I can make for you would be to go with a Magnaflow part # MF15304 if you have a Crewmax or Double cab.
Your other option would be to take your vehicle to a shop and have them remove the muffler you have on your system and weld in a new one.
