For perfect 2027 Kia telluride
It doesn’t fit the telluride Hybrid!!
The video for a 2023 telluride and the paper instructions were decent for a 2027 telluride. You need to fish the most rearward mounting bolts first, then the next longest fish length or one bolt will block the others from being able to be fished all the way to the hole. That wasn’t in my instructions.
The way they include guide wires to help you align the bolts is genius. Enlarging The drain holes is a cinch, I just used a Dremel with a grinding wheel. I did not have to notch it out as big as the instructions said. Just enough to pass the plate and carriage bolt through. The only thing I would say that you need to be aware of is on the Telluride 2027 hybrid I had to knock out a crossmember on the driver side in the floor which I do not think will affect anything structural but otherwise the hitch would not seat properly. That took me about 30 seconds with an angle Grinder
Finally had time to install this weekend.
Quality and materials of this hitch is great and would be 5 stars except for the problems encountered with fitment during installation.
One thing to note that made installation more difficult is that the driver side install point had to be modified as my vehicle has reinforcement on the body in that area (not pictured in the CURT install instructions).
May be that my vehicle is the hybrid, and this reinforcement is there to better secure the battery?
Either way, I'd think CURT could modify their design to prevent future problems to their customers.

We really needed a hitch installed for an upcoming trip and Kia's OEM options were not yet available, so we chose this aftermarket Curt hitch. We regret not waiting for Kia's OEM parts. For whatever reason, this hitch was designed to go underneath the OEM hitch cover (see attached picture). The quality of the hitch itself seems good but be warned that you will need a die grinder to widen existing holes in the frame to fit the bolts and hardware through.

Curt confirms that the hitch should fit all 2027 models, including the Hybrid. Can you tell me how it's not fitting? Are there any obstructions?
