Best Way to Drill Holes Through the Curt Gooseneck Flat Plate Part # C65500

After I get the folding rails in place and spaced properly whats the best way to drill through the flat plat and hit the existing holes in the rails?

The best way to drill through the Curt gooseneck flat plate # C65500 is using a standard drill and drill bit. When drilling go slow and steady. It's a soft steel so you won't have any issues drilling a hole. When you're drilling through metal, it's a good idea to drill the holes in two or three stages. Begin with a small diameter bit and use the subsequent bits to gradually enlarge the hole
I would use the pre-drilled holes in the rails to mark the locations on the flat plate.
