I'm assuming you're speaking of an anti-rattle device. Many anti-rattle devices depend on the receiver tube to have a lip around it. The Roadmaster # RM-061 or the Brophy # RSCP are examples of this type.

An anti-rattle device like the # 63232 doesn't depend on the receiver tube having a lip in order to work.

Keep in mind that a dual-hitch adapter like the MaxxTow MT70070 will lower the tongue weight capacity of the hitch its used in by 50 percent.
