Troubleshooting No Trailer Running Lights on a 2013 Nissan Titan
Updated 04/13/2015 | Published 04/11/2015 >
Question:
I have a 7 blade plug in that plugs into the wiring harness on the back of my truck with a four flat that I used for the trailer lights. I have brake and blinkers but no running lights. I was told my plug in was bad so I got a new one still the same problem. I was told by nissan that all my fuses were in good shape and had to buy the 3 relays too. The problem still is there.I have brake and blinkers just no running lites. What could be the problem off the back of truck or on trailer? Thanks Alot

The factory trailer wiring of Nissan vehicles can be a bit of a headache to deal with. Some of them like your 2013 Nissan Titan will have an additional running light circuit relay that is separate from the rest.
It sounds like your 2013 Nissan Titan is missing one relay that is traditionally found under the dash to the left of the steering column. There is a socket there to plug in the relay that will activate the tow package tail lights. You will need the blue relay from the Curt Relay Kit # C57000 which is the additional relay.
