Question:

Am interested in a side winder airborne pin box but am having trouble with finding one that will fit 1998 Vanguard 246 trailer. The pin box was built in Penticton by Superior Metal part number 45316. Also does Reese have a under bed mount kit and a fifth wheel hitch 16000 lbs to match?

There may be a 5th Airborne Sidewinder that will fit your trailer but you will have to take some measurements. I have included a link to a help article that shows what measurements are needed. If you can let me know the measurements you come up with I can determine if any of the Sidewinder models will fit.

For an installation kit there are only above the bed options for your 2014 Silverado with 5-1/2 foot bed. I recommend the custom kit # RP50064-58. You will not have to drill into the truck frame to install this kit and it installs quicker and easier compared to a universal kit.

For a compatible 16K Reese hitch you can use # RP30047 which is an older design but works very well (which is why it has been around a long time). I have linked a video review of this hitch for you.
