Question:

I am looking to put Slipper Spring on my fifth wheel trailer. Can you tell me what the difference of these three are? Looking at the specs, they are all for 7000 lb axels. The numbers I am looking at are RM69NQ and RM-2460-2570-3.

I can definitely help with that, Larry!

There are differences between the Roadmaster Comfort Ride Kits # RM-2460-2580-3 # RM69NQ and # RM-2460-2570-3 and I have them listed below. They all include the Comfort Ride Shock Absorbers for Tandem Axle Trailers - 5,200-lb to 7,000-lb Axle # RM-2460 and Comfort Ride Add-On Kit for Triple Axle Trailers - 5,200-lb to 7,000-lb Axles # RM-2460-50, but the leaf springs between them are all different.

# RM-2460-2580-3
Roadmaster Comfort Ride Slipper Spring System - 8,000 lb Axle: 2580
3rd Axle Add-On Kit: 2580-50

# RM69NQ
Roadmaster Comfort Ride Slipper Spring System - 6,000 lb Tandem Axle: 2500-66
3rd Axle Add-On Kit: 2503-66

# RM-2460-2570-3
Roadmaster Comfort Ride Slipper Spring System - 7,000 lb Axle: 2570
3rd Axle Add-On Kit: 2570-50

The springs are not available separately, so just keep that in mind. I don't know why they all say for 7,000 pound axles, but the # RM69NQ is for a 6,000 axles, the # RM-2460-2570-3 is for 7,000 pound axles, and the # RM-2460-2580-3 is for 8,000 pound axles. I will get that updated on our site.

Is your current suspension getting a bit worn out or are you just looking for an upgrade?

Looking for an upgrade. I have had to replace a number of parts on my triple axle toy hauler trailer and am hoping to get a better ride with this.

@LarryW Gotcha. We have sold a lot of these and I can honestly say that everyone that has made the upgrade has been very happy with it. It's a good bit of work for the install, but I would definitely say it's worth it! : )
